Suited along the Wuding Street of Ji County of Tianjin city, primarily built in 636 of the Tang Dynasty and restored in 984 of the Liao Dynasty, the Dule Temple is one of the first group of National Key Protection Units entitled by the State Department in 1961, a famous AAAA-level scenic spot and listed as one of the candidate of word-wide cultural and historic heritages.
The grand temple-styled construction group, with the world-famous "Three Bests" which are ancient architecture and mud statue and mural painting, consists of Entry Arch, Bodhisatlva Guanyin Pavilion, General Weituo Pavilion,Gratitude Pavilion, and Temporary Dwelling Palace of Qianlong Emperor of the Qing Dynasty and civilian houses. The Bodhisative Guanyin Pavilion is the most ancient multi-layered wood pavilion with the tallest colorfulstanding 11-faced Bodhisattva Guanyin Statue at the height of 16.08 meters and with the ultimate mural painting ever of the Yuan Dynasty in China. The Entry Arch has the oldest arch with eaves. Lots of steles and couplets hung on the columns of halls in the Temple are of tremendous value as cultural temple of thousands of years to the whole nation.
Experiencing vast devastation of more than 30 times of earthquakes and warfare through thousands of years, the temple has always been atanding still as a sparking gem in China ancient architectural history, which has absorbed year by year a large amount of toursts and specialists at home and abroad to visit and speak highly of it for its utmost history, culture and artistic value.
